San Diego Comic-Con was a big touchstone of SpongeBob’s 25th Anniversary campaign. It was critical to support the SDCC Nickelodeon activations on social. SpongeBob earned 31M views on San Diego Comic-Con content, making it the top overall view earner during SDCC weekend. Lamesa wrote the scripts for the content captured and was one of two on-the-ground producers at Comic-Con.
For this concept, Lamesa wanted to lean into the TikTok culture of adding seemingly unrelated audio over a video creating a hilarious unhinged piece.
